Settle In Georgia is an independent solo publication maintained by Irakli Mosulishvili. This page explains what gets published, what the dates mean, how calculator assumptions are handled, and how to report a mistake.

A named person is responsible

Irakli writes, maintains and reviews the site. Guide bylines link to the author profile, while Settle In Georgia remains the publisher. The site is not a government service, law firm, accountancy or relocation agency.

How a guide is researched

  1. Start with the decision a reader is trying to make, not a keyword target.
  2. Use Georgian laws, agencies, regulators and service providers as the primary evidence for rules and procedures.
  3. Separate a legal rule from a practical suggestion and label uncertainty instead of filling gaps with confident prose.
  4. Test every internal link, calculation example and date-sensitive statement before publication.
  5. Translate only after the English source is stable, then verify structure, numbers, links and terminology across all three languages.

What the dates mean

Published is the first release date. Last updated changes only after a meaningful review or correction—not for cosmetic edits. A current date does not guarantee that an authority has not changed a rule since the review, so important actions should still be checked at the linked official source.

How calculators are treated

Calculation engines are kept in small pure functions with boundary tests. Tests prove that the code follows its stated formula; they do not prove that the formula is legally correct. Tax, customs and immigration assumptions require primary-source confirmation, visible scope notes and conservative disclaimers.

Useful without collecting your case file

The calculators run in the browser. The site has no user account system, and values entered into tools are not submitted to a Settle In Georgia database. Some tools can create files locally, such as an invoice PDF through printing or a calendar reminder.
